The author of this project is Nelly Asher, sci-fi writer, a rationally artistic married person from Kharkov, Ukraine. My stimulus to learning Turkish was the desire to visit Istanbul. Deciding that it'll be easier to travel if you know the language, I started on the textbooks.

I began translating songs for practice, to learn some new words, and because I figured that these translations might be useful for other people. Sometimes you'd really want to know the meaning of a song you like, but it's usually necessary to wander the Internet for some time to find it – if it's to be found at all. Being guided by the principle "if you want some quality work, do it yourself", I decided to create this site – a constantly renewed archive of accurate translations into Russian and English, with clear and comprehensive structure, where one could find a translation of any Turkish song.
